VIABILITY DOMAIN 2)4)5)
← Back
The limits wherein a system must remain in order to insure its survival.
The concept is clear in Biology. Any system that starts with some letal gene will not survive very long time.
Moreover if it produces some offspring, these will be at an evolutive disadvantage in relation with more favorably endowed beings.
On the contrary, a mutation may enhance the survival potential of the system by expanding the environment in which it will be able to survive.
In social systems however it is much more difficult to evaluate how their viability can be affected and in which limits by some extrinsic or intrinsic condition or event.
