← Back
A statistical sampling can be used as a variety reductor since it reduces redundant information contained in thousands or millions of data into a shortened synthesis which, provide correct use of statistical methodology, contains nearly all the information in a practically usable form.
A good example is the use of demographic statistics by life insurance companies and, more generally, any statistical inquiry used by any company or public administration board to understand its environment and take relevant decisions.
