VARIABLE (Command) 2)
← Back
"An internal variable of a system which is under the control of a decider subsystem" (B. WALLISER, 1977, p.129).
WALLISER distinguishes two classes of command variables:
Control variable: A command variable with continuous effect in time. This is practically equivalent to a regulator.
Decision variable: A command variable operating discontinuously in time. This type corresponds to more or less frequent direct interventions of the decider, who may for example modify the calibration of a regulator.
