Non-reducibility is a typical property of autopoietic systems, which, by definition, must be recursive.
This means that the system cannot be much simplified, by suppressing elements and/or not considering recurrent reconstructive interactions, mostly multiple and simultaneous. Doing this could decisively alter it, or even destroy it.
