RECONSTRUCTABILITY ANALYSIS (Systems Concepts in) 2)

G. KLIR proposes the following definitions for use in Reconstructability Analysis:
"- Subsystem: a system based on a subset of variables of another system.
"- Structure system: a collection of systems considered as a unity.
"- Overall system: a system that consist of all variables in a structure system.
"Individual systems of a structure system, which are often called its elements, may share some variables. Elements of a structure system are coupled through the shared variables and, consequently, interact with each other, By definition, each element of a structure system is obviously a subsystem of the corresponding overall system" (1986, p.268).
