INFORMATION STORAGE 2)
← Back
Natural systems store information naturally.
While the notion of information is a creation of the human brain, to speak of information in biological systems, in ecosystems, and even possibly in a quite metaphorical sense in physical systems seems however reasonable.
Animals and vegetals somehow communicate. This is also the case of cells in organisms, and even among chemical molecules.
Now, to communicate information, in whatever way, they must have it permanently available, i.e. they must have it "in store".
Information storage remains however one of the most elusive processes in natural systems, as to how it is done and as under which forms.
