GOALS WITHIN GOALS 1)
← Back
I. BLAUBERG et aI., develop an idea akin to SOMMERHOFF's one in the following terms: "The adequate specification of the goals of a given system organization requires the preliminary determination of the goals of a larger system which includes the given one. This is a necessary condition for determining the real functions of a given system within a certain larger whole; this functions and thus the goals of a given system are obtained from an analysis of a certain set of mutually dependent functions and goals of a larger system… " (1977, p.277).
In HEGEL's terms, who of the master and the slave is, in the end, the master? It would seem, in view of the obvious interdependence, no one… or both.
