GESTALT (Dynamic) 1)3)
← Back
"A frame of reference that allows for creativity within understood parameters" (R. NUMMELA CAINE & G. CAINE, 1994, p.119)
These authors state that – in knowledge acquisition – dynamic gestalts "… contribute to a sense of wholeness and, at the same time, contain and permit flexibility, change and excitement".
And "These larger plots, belief systems and agreements are dynamic gestalts because they provide overall patterns that make sense. These patterns tie together bits ans pieces of information and give a cohesive meaning and purpose to our daily learning" (1994, p.119)
Of course, dynamic gestalts imply time binding. (See also hereafter)
