FRACTAL DIMENSIONS 5)
← Back
A curious consequence of fractalization is the appearance of fractal dimensions, i.e. fractional ones.
The dimension of the PEANO's curve, for example is neither 1, nor 0: it is intermediate, as the one-dimensional line slowly disappears, but leaves a growing number of still related, but not anymore connected points.
Fractal dimensions appear also in natural features.
The fractal dimension of the Norwegian coast, for example, has been calculated as 1,52
